The legendary netlabel Dusted Wax Kingdom released a compilation of 17 beautiful blunted beats for free download, entitled ‘Relax Capsule (Volume 1)‘.
Georg Hekt’s track ‘Fading Memory Of Lake And Sunset’ – previously released on the EP ‘Three Around Ten‘ through Stigae Music – is featured thereon. Amongst the other artists are prominent names like Mr. Moods, Dustmotes, VPD and more.

Various Artists – (Abstract Hip-Hop) SPLIT

The Stigae Collective got invited to participate in this interesting project which is organized around a very simple scheme – three labels, each picks three artists of their repertoire and each artist presents three tracks. The music is being collected around the concept of instrumental hip-hop although you might hear all kinds of electronic and acoustic influences, reaching from jazz and soul to experimental drum&bass and IDM.
Three Artist represent the russian netlabel CUNTROLL – its founder PARADEIGMA, ZCR and Abstracode. The compilation starts with their nine tracks and puts the listener right into the main musical idea. The second part of nine tracks was collected by the spanish label Another Chance Records. Another Chance is releasing music digitally on iTunes, Beatport and other popular sites and has been a great support for lots of new artists. It is featured with three very interesting musicians – Swordxl, BTB and Psychedelic Rain.
The third and last part of SPLIT is a collection of nine tracks form the Stigae Collective, produced by the label founder Georg Hekt, the tinkering-champion Q-Daelic and Chicago-based downtempo beat-master Blackdaylight. It’s starting with Hekt’s trip-hop and electronic tunes in a well-known Stigae-sound and leads up to Q-Daelic who’s been quiet for a while but kicks back with three amazing new tunes. The closing of the compilation consists of the three tunes by Blackdaylight which build an amazing finish. Very noticeable and indeed a masterpiece is his second tune featuring the great and very popular R&B/Soul singer from Chicago, Yaw.

Three Around Ten is a five-track EP that features some new works by the STIGAE MUSIC co-founder Georg Hekt. In this album he is getting deeper into beats and instrumental hip-hop without forgetting his percussive jazz roots. The deep bass lines are covered with phased atmospheres and lots of those percussive sounds are defining the dynamic soundscape. All in all this album is a great free download for all beat lovers. Blackdaylight had his birthday last week and wanted to present to you all this great full-length album entitled The Nin9. Due to some technical issues we were not able to make it on Dec 18th, but now here it is!
The Nin9 includes ten new tracks which were all recorded during the year 2009 and are filled with the emotional charge of Blackdaylight’s personal feelings and experience from this “crazy year”, as he describes it. The artist presents finest melodic trip hop with shuffled beats, beautiful melodic layers and string instrument sections that combined together bring this sonic form of the emotion into your ears and souls.
